Trauma Information Group
Trauma Information Group (TIG) is a highly adaptable psycho-educational group treatment model formulated by Judith Herman, Diya Kallivayalil and Members of the Victims of Violence Program for people in the early stages of recovery from trauma. As the title states it teaches people how to promote safety and self care as they start their trauma healing. This form of group therapy dovetails any trauma treatment protocol and is highly recommended for people who have difficulty with typical individual therapy.
